Once hand-moulded with steam and dried, the shape will not move. I worked the decorative bow in the same way, and the cotton braid is also made by me. The hat is named after the American actress Rita Hayworth (1918-1987). Known as “The Love Godess” and an iconic figure, her illness left a mark on people’s minds and advanced scientific research: then barely known to the general public, Alzheimer’s disease was brought into the spotlight after the actress’ death, thus contributing to the advancement of research.
