Bonjour, I’m Sandra!

From a very young age, the Lacroix grandmother wrapped me in fabrics: by the age of five I was already experimenting with costume-making on an old foot-pedal sewing machine. The early results were… let’s say unconventional, but the passion never left me. Over time, those clumsy first attempts grew into bold, colourful, and carefully crafted pieces.

My love affair with historical fashion goes way back.

Between 19th-century family photos, my Master’s thesis on Egyptian dress, and a fascination with 1940s–50s cinema, I’ve always drawn inspiration from silhouettes of the past. These influences fuel my work today and inspire me to reinvent what I love about vintage through a contemporary lens.

Adding colour and sparkle to everyday life

In a world where fashion often feels uniform, I felt the urge to create my own clothes and accessories. My goal? To bring colour, daring shapes, and a bright, playful twist to daily life that can sometimes feel a little too grey.

Since 2017, with the creation of my brand Oh… Really?, I’ve been designing retro hats and handcrafted accessories in Brussels, halfway between heritage and modernity. People often tell me, “You can’t find anything but the classic in shops!” or “Where on earth did you get that hat?” The answer is simple: “Here, in my workshop.”
