The secret of Rita’s refined and elegant look lies in the high quality materials it is made of. These precious materials guarantee its durability and solidity. The shape is hand moulded on a wooden block with steam. The felt was coated with an invisible stiffener: its shape will not alter over time. I also braided cotton threads and added a grey fabric for a very elegant colour combination. To hold the cocktail hat in your hairstyle, there is a hat band inside. The name of the hat is a tribute to the American actress Rita Hayworth (1918-1987). Her career spanned 37 years and she appeared in more than 60 films, the best known of which was probably Gilda (1946), her first major dramatic role.
