And of course, I always make sure quality and detail are at the heart of everything I create.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Materials & Composition<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The materials I use for Oh\u2026 Really?<\/em>\u00a0by Sandra Lacroix<\/em> can vary, but they are always of high quality to ensure the durability of both fabrics and colors in the pieces you purchase. Whenever possible, I choose pure wool felts and colorfast fabrics, carefully sort the feathers I use, and opt for ultra-resistant sewing threads, among other details.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Handling Your Creation<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Please never pick up hats or accessories by their decorations, as this can deform or damage them (no, no, a feather is not meant to lift a fascinator!). Always handle your creation by the base of the hat or the fastening to keep it safe and secure.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Storing Your Creation<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n – As with any luxury item, it\u2019s important to keep your piece away from light, heat, and humidity to avoid fading, warping, or mold.<\/span><\/p>\n – Hats, headbands, and other structured accessories are best stored in a box, away from heat sources (like radiators or stoves) and humidity (please don\u2019t keep your hat next to the shower!). For extra protection, I recommend placing uncolored, acid-free tissue paper inside the box to keep your piece stable.<\/span><\/p>\n – And finally: never press down on your creation! Its shape is designed to last\u2026 as long as it\u2019s not crushed.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Caring for Your Creation<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n – Do not wash your creations: water is not their friend!<\/span><\/p>\n – To care for a felt hat, use a soft brush and gently brush in a counter-clockwise motion. For straw or fabric pieces, if stained, you can carefully wipe with a clean, slightly damp cloth.<\/span><\/p>\n – If your hat gets caught in the rain (oh dear!), gently place acid-free tissue paper or a clean dry cloth inside (without prints, to avoid staining), without deforming the hat, and let it air dry away from direct heat.
